The French BNP Paribas Bank on Monday received a license to open a branch in Israel, thus joining HSBC and Citibank who already have branches in the country.

For the past nine years, a delegation headed by Charles Riseman represented the bank in Israel. Reisman also served as the President of the Association of Foreign Banks in Israel.

The bank's headquarters are in France and it has a diverse global operation in the areas of banking and capital market. The bank operates branches in 85 countries across the world and employs about 100,000 workers.
