Israeli injured in shooting attack

Guards manning security fence enter Bir Naballah village where they are shot at

An Israeli citizen was lightly to moderately injured Tuesday afternoon after Palestinian terrorists opened fire at security guards working on the separation fence at Bir Naballah.

 

Police said that two security guards drove into the village due to an unknown reason, where they were shot at. They managed to rescue themselves and reach the parking lot of the construction fence on the security fence in Atarot, north of Jerusalem.

 

The IDF believes that the shots were fired from a moving vehicle. The injured man was fully conscience, and paramedics and police were rushed to the scene.

 

After receiving initial treatment, the injured man was taken to the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital. The army has conducted searches in the village to track down the gunmen, but they escaped in the direction of Ramallah.

 

Raphael Herbest, a Magen David Adom paramedic who attended the scene, told Ynet: "We received a call about an injury from a shooting and told that the casualty was in the Atarot checkpoint. When we arrived there already was a Magen David Adom ambulance that giving him first aid. He fully conscience and injured in both hands."
