Mayor of Kiryat Shmona: Need to evacuate remainder of residents
The mayor of the northern town of Kiryat Shmona, Haim Barbivai, called on the government to initiate an ordered evacuation process for those families remaining in the town who are unable to leave due to financial considerations.
Barbivai said: "I am not angry with residents who leave, but rather, understand them. I ask the prime minister and defense minister to act as was done in the past and evacuate residents to areas removed from the fighting, until the situation calms down." (Hagai Einav)
