Egypt's foreign minister: Israel should respect UN resolution and cease fire
The Egyptian foreign minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said that "Israel must respect UN Resolution 1701 and cease fire immediately, in order to allow for the implementation of the resolution."
"The first condition for an implementation of the resolution is an Israeli withdrawal fro Lebanese territory, which would allow the deployment of the Lebanese army in the area," he added. (AFP)
