‘True heir of Harry Houdini’ to arrive in Israel Tuesday for 5-day solidarity visit as Jewish groups’ guest

Renowned magician and stuntman David Blaine is expected to arrive for a 5-day solidarity visit on Tuesday, during which he’ll meet residents of Northern Israel.

David Blaine, 33, is considered the most famous magician and stuntman in the world today, and is hailed as “the true heir of Harry Houdini”. His latest stunt was living for a week in a see-through water tank at the Lincoln Center in New York City.

Blaine will perform for soldiers at the Hatzor Air Force Base, in a live broadcast on Yehoram Gaon’s Channel 2 show; for combat units; in youth villages operated by the Jewish Agency, hosting children from the north since the beginning of the war (Hadassah Neurim, Nachalat Yehuda); at the Absorption Center in Kibbutz Ayelet Hasachar, also operated by the Jewish Agency; at Ziv and Rambam Hospitals; and in cities and towns throughout the north, among them Haifa, Deir-el-Assad (in conjunction with The Abraham Fund Initiatives) and Kiryat Bialik.

Blaine arrives in Israel as a guest of the United Jewish Communities – Federations of North America (UJC), the UJA-Federation of New York, and the America-Israel Friendship League.
