Manufacturers Association in Haifa and north launches campaign aimed at exposing Israeli consumers to northern-made products
The Manufacturers Association in Haifa and the North has initiated a campaign to promote the purchase of products manufactured in Israel's north. The campaign's aim is to expose consumers across the country to the northern industry, thus aiding the region's economy to recover from the blow dealt to it by the recent war.
The Manufacturers Association wishes to enlist the support of television and radio networks for the campaign, and have programs spotlight products made in the north.
Additionally, the association plans to promote the hotel and tourism industry in the area that is an integral part of the local economy, initiate product festivals in retail chains, and encourage union leaders and business owners to send their employees for vacations in the north.
Liora Birnhack-Markus, chairman of the Manufacturers Association in Haifa and the North, said on Wednesday that the northern economy manufactures a variety of quality products, and that the campaign was a chance to show that many of the top-quality Israeli goods originate in the north.
"I believe that the campaign will assist the northern economy and give pride to the north's residents. Our goal is first and foremost a national goal, and I would be happy to see advertising firms volunteering to help us," she stated.
The association also plans to set up a website that would feature all businesses in the north, and be regularly updated on new products and special sales.
