Halutz to soldiers: We are obligated to investigate war
IDF Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Dan Halutz wrote a missive to IDF soldiers stating that "the conflict in Lebanon exposed deficiencies in various areas – logistical, operational and command related. We are obligated to conduct a comprehensive, honest and swift investigation of deficiencies and successes."
He further wrote that "the IDF is required to sustain the operational tension and high readiness because the operation is not over." (Hanan Greenberg)
