Report: Syria mulled plan to down Lebanese government
Senior Arab diplomats said Damascus has mulled a three-phase plan to bring down the Lebanese government headed by Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, the Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am reports.
The newspaper said Hizbullah and the parliamentary block headed by former general Michel Aoun will implement the plan. "The plan's final objective is to include Lebanon in the Iranian-Syrian axis," the officials said. (Roee Nahmias)
