UN's Annan in Tehran for talks dominated by nuclear dispute, Lebanon

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan arrived in Tehran on Saturday for talks with Iranian leaders dominated by Iran's disputed nuclear program and the implementation of the UN-sponsored ceasefire in Lebanon, the official IRNA news agency reported.

The visit comes two days after Iran failed to meet a UN deadline for suspending its enrichment of uranium, paving the way to possible sanctions against the Islamic republic. (AP)
