From Tel Aviv to J'lem on business bus

Merkavim invests about USD 230,000 in development of bus for executives designed like an airplane's business class

New in Israel: A business class bus. The Merkavim company has developed a bus for executives designed like an airplane's business class.

About NIS 1 million (about USD 230,000) were invested in the development of the bus, and it was purchased by the Tourbus company, which will offer it to all those who may have an interest in it.

The bus includes a separate conference room, multimedia devices, office equipment, adjustable comfortable seats and food services.

It can be rented for USD 600 a day (a normal bus costs between USD 350 and USD 400 a day) and can contain up to 34 passengers.

Merkavim CEO Micha Micksner noted that the company plans to offer the bus to companies in Europe. He estimated that the company would export approximately 30 such buses in 2007.
