VIDEO - The Saar family will never forget this New Year. This is their first new year as Israelis. Two months ago they arrived from New Jersey in a Nefesh B'Nefesh flight, and their path wasn't easy. Yehuda and Beth Sa'ar arrived with their three children. Daniel, the eldest, is still having difficulties with Hebrew at the religions-Zionist school, Eliana is frustrated by the language barrier and waiting for friends to arrive to visit from America. And what about little Arielle? Arielle is a different story. For her, the new beginning in this strange country, Israel, is not the only new start – this year she will also start studying. First grade is not easy for her, and Israeli food is also difficult to adjust to (especially when you are allergic to sesame and nuts), and she also misses her friends left behind. But with the help of the teacher in the class and a special teacher that arrives at home, the new words in Hebrew are not so strange now that they roll off the tongue. The parents are sure that the children will get used to it. There are no easy starts. They are also convinced that they did the right thing when they decided to make aliya, to build their home here. A new year, a new country, a new start – a new life.
