Dichter: Inadequate response to Qassam fire on Negev
Internal Security Minister Avi Dichter said in a cabinet meeting Wednesday that Israel has woken up every morning during the past two months to Qassam rocket fire, and that the defense establishment was not providing an adequate response for residents surrounding the Gaza Strip.
According to Dichter, the defense establishment's response does not meet the threat and that it requires a more forceful hand.
"We don't need to conquer Gaza, but we must take deterrent action against the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. We must strike where necessary and to exact the cost," he said.
