Foiled attack on IDF forces. IDF forces opened fire early Saturday and hit a Palestinian man who was trying to place an explosive charge adjacent to the security fence west of Jenin. The man's condition is unclear.

IDF sources reported that forces identified four Palestinians trying to place charges in the area. The force opened fire and hit one suspect. Upon combing the area, a 25 kg explosive was found and detonated in a controlled manner.

In Nablus, Palestinians threw an explosive charge at IDF forces operating in the Balatta refugee camp. In a separate incident, operatives opened fire at IDF forces from the Askar refugee camp in the city. There were no IDF casualties in either incident.

Additionally, IDF soldiers arrested two Islamic Jihad operatives near Jenin early on Saturday.

Forces have also been operating in the Gaza Strip. IDF sources said that units are operating in the Khan Younis area in southern Gaza, adjacent to the Sufa crossing. The operations are targeted at uncovering underground arms-smuggling tunnels and arresting wanted operatives.

In northern Gaza, an IDF bulldozer was damaged by an explosive charge but there were no ensuing casualties as a result of the explosion.
