Palestinians: We fired Nasser-1 at W. Bank settlement

Salah al-Din brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees claims they fired short-range missile towards settlement near Nablus. IDF denies report

The Salah al-Din brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, claimed that they fired a short-range missile Wednesday morning towards the settlement of Migdalim near Nablus in the West Bank. The IDF denied the report.

The statement released by the organization says that at about 4:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, a cell of the organization fired a short range Nasser-1 rocket towards Migdalim.

"The cell of the Shahid Abu Yosef al-Koka has successfully fired a rocket at Migdalim, which is stealing the lands of Nablus. The rocket hit the settlement and marks the beginning of the Islamic and Palestinian wave of wrath against the Zionist enemy for its removal from our occupied land," the statement said.

The organization called on Israel to "not hide and deny its defeat. We give this operation as a gift to the pure souls of the martyrs, the wounded, and the prisoners. This is a first success on the way to the destruction of the Zionists by the resistance rockets, until they leave their homes and until we avenge every last drop of blood spilled over our beloved homeland."

The statement ended with a call for "Jihad until victory or until death as martyrs."

The IDF denied the reports and said that no missile was fired at the settlement of Migdalim.

In the meantime, seven Qassam rockets were fired at the city of Sderot Wednesday. One of the rockets landed in the backyard of a home. Only victims of shock were reported in the attack, and nearby cars were damaged.

Two rockets fell in a factory in Sderot's industrial zone. One caused a fire and the other resulted in a minor leak of hazardous materials. Three people were lightly injured. Another rocket landed south of Ashkelon near a strategic facility and did not cause any damage or injuries.
