Egypt: Israel must immediately halt operation in Gaza

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned Israel's operation in northern Gaza and called on Israel to immediately halt the offensive.

Egypt's Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that "Israel is using excessive force in Beit Hanoun with no consideration for civilians." Since Wednesday at least 42 Palestinians were killed by the IDF in the frame of Operation Autumn Clouds. (AFP)
