British security experts have been flown from Britain to Pune, India, to guard Hollywood celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who reportedly received threats from al-Qaeda.
Sources in New Delhi said that Indian intelligence officer decided to tighten security for the couple, acting on tips from local anti-terror agents and Pakistani official that the stars could be a target of an al-Qaeda terror attack.
The threats were linked to the A Mighty Heart, a film about the life of US journalist Daniel Pearl featuring the couple. Pearl was kidnapped and killed in Pakistan in 2002 where he was investigating activities of al-Qaeda operatives.
Producers chose not to film A Mighty Heart in Pakistan for security concerns.
