Three bomb blasts killed one person and wounded at least 30 other people Friday in southern Thailand, which continues to be wracked by a Muslim insurgency despite recent efforts by a new government at reconciliation.
Seven soldiers were wounded by a roadside bomb in Sungai Padi district of Narathiwat province, one of three southern provinces wracked by the nearly three-year insurgency in which more than 1,800 have perished, said police Col. Prabpol Meemongkol. (AP)
