Hirsch on war: Big gap between mood, reality
Outgoing commander of the Galilee Division, Brigadier General Gal Hirsch said Tuesday during his farewell speech, “There is a significant gap between the mood and what actually happened during the Lebanon war.”
“We didn’t succeed in everything, but we completed our mission and severely hurt the enemy. Now we can build zimmers on fertile ground, and not on explosive drums,” he said. (Hagai Einav)
