Peretz: Selection of next IDF chief will be quick and orderly
The meeting between Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz and resigning Chief of Staff Dan Halutz has ended. The two agreed that Halutz would stay in post until a replacement is found.
Peretz expressed his appreciation of Halutz and stated that he would carry out a quick and orderly process, in coordination with Prime Minister Olmert, of selecting the next chief of staff. (Hanan Greenberg)
