Renovation work starts on Temple Mount; police deploy in E. Jerusalem
The Antiquities Authority began renovation work at the Moughrabi Gate leading to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Police forces were deployed in East Jerusalem, in the alleys of the Old City and at the gates of the Temple Mount to prevent any attempts to create disturbances.
Police will limit entry to the Temple Mount to male worshippers over the age of 45 with a blue identification card. Women's entry will not be limited. (Efrat Weiss)
