Families of kidnapped soldiers meet with Russian FM
The families of kidnapped Israeli soldiers Gilad Shalit, Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser met on Tuesday evening with Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov in Jerusalem. The families asked Ivanov to aid efforts to secure the release of their sons in his upcoming meetings with Palestinian and Lebanese leaders.
During the meeting Ivanov expressed his hope that he will be able to offer the families tangible evidence of their sons' condition in their next encounter and said that Russian President Vladimir Putin made a personal plea to the presidents of Syria and Iran on the matter. (Ahiya Raved)
