US President Bush to meet with pope at the Vatican in June, Vatican says

US President George W. Bush will meet with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in June, Vatican officials said Saturday. The June meeting will be the first private audience between Benedict and Bush.

The date of the meeting has yet to be decided, but the talks are expected to be held around June 9 or 10, said Vatican spokesman the Rev. Federico Lombardi. (AP)
