Peres to Polish FM: Return confiscated Jewish property
Poland must work to return private Jewish property confiscated by the Nazis, Vice Premier Shimon Peres told Polish Foreign Minister Anna Fotiga.
Peres asked that the Polish government speed up the bureaucratic processes involved in transferring the possession to their rightful owners, emphasizing that most Holocaust victims are elderly and may not be alive to receive them if the process takes too long. (Ronny Sofer)
