Knesset approves law banning vivisection
The Knesset has adopted a motion to ban animal experiments for the cosmetics, beauty and detergents industries.
The bill was proposed by MK Gideon Sa'ar, who said that "By making this decision, the Knesset is making an important statement about its ethics. We are now stepping in the right direction along with the most advanced countries in the world." (Amnon Meranda)
