Middle East Quartet to meet on June 26 in Jerusalem - Russia

The Quartet of powers trying to push Israel, the Palestinians and the Arab states towards peace in the Middle East will meet in Jerusalem on June 26, Russia's main envoy to the region told Interfax news agency on Friday.

"At the meeting the current situation in the region will be discussed, the tasks for the Quartet and work plans for the future," Russia's envoy Sergei Yakovlev said. The Quartet is Russia, the United States, the European Union and the United Nations. (Reuters)
