An Israeli backpacker mysteriously went missing in India on Thursday evening (local time).
The man, in his 20s, disappeared in the north of the country after leaving on a motorcycle to the town of Kasol.
Around 6 pm, the man's motorcycle was found abandoned on a bridge with all his equipment, including his personal belongings and passport.
Overnight a search team was set up to scan the area for the man first thing in the morning. The Foreign Ministry has updated the missing man's family on the initial details.
Earlier this week, another Israeli backpacker Dror Shek, was killed by bandits. Shek's body was finally flown to Israel Thursday, when Shek was laid to rest.
