Report: 8 SKorean hostages in Afghanistan freed

Eight South Korean hostages in Afghanistan were freed Wednesday and being moved to a safe location, Yonhap news agency reported.

The report, citing unnamed government officials, also said the former captives were being taken to a US Military base in Ghazni province, where they were previously held. Government officials declined to immediately confirm the report. (AP)
