Olmert: US committed to maintaining Israel's military advantage
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday that "the United States is committed to maintaining Israel's military advantage. There is no doubt that this is a significant improvement in the defense budget with the $30 billion grant to Israel over the next decade".
Olmert said this regarding reports that the US would transfer money to Israel and added, "These things were agreed upon in my private meeting with President Bush." (Ronny Sofer)
