IDF, Hamas exchange fire in Gaza

A gun battle erupted between Israeli troops and Hamas gunmen near the Israel-Gaza border Thursday, injuring one Hamas fighter. Local residents said the army arrested some 10 residents and farmers in the area.

The army said its troops were fired upon and returned fire. It confirmed carrying out a number of arrests, but would not say how many. (AP)
