During the investigation, Shadi admitted that another one of his brothers, Medahat, 34, who is also serving a prison sentence for assisting a terrorist cell, wrote to him with details on how to
contact a Hizbullah representative in order to offer him information on the missing soldier.
The accused left for Jordan in August to make contact with the Hizbuallah man and met with him several times. The two cut a deal whereby Muhamad would be given a financial reward in exchange for information related to Guy Hever.
In the investigation, it came to light that the Medahat had appealed to imprisoned Lebanese terrorist
Samir Kuntar to get contact information for the Hizbullah representative.
There was in fact, never any so-called new information on the whereabouts of the missing soldier.
Guy Hever, a solider in the artillery corps, disappeared from the Golan Heights on August 17, 1997. He was last seen on his base a 9:30 that morning and no has been able to find out what happened to him ever since.
Tremendous efforts have been made on many fronts to try to obtain information on his whereabouts to no avail.
