Israeli warplane hits Hamas base in Gaza

An Israeli warplane attacked a Hamas training base in Gaza City on Thursday, sending a large plume of smoke into the air, witnesses said.

There were no immediate reports of casualties, but ambulances were rushing to the scene. The Israeli army was investigating the report. (AP)
