Shas: When talks begin on future of Jerusalem – we'll quit government

At the end of a meeting of Shas' Council of Torah Sages, Secretary Rafael Pinhasi announced that the moment the government begins negotiations over the future of Jerusalem, the party will quit the coalition.

Last week, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert canceled a planned meeting with Shas Chairman Eli Yishai. Sources from within the party claimed that the decision was made following Shas political requests. (Neta Sela)
