Mossad chief: Syria has accelerated its acquisition of arms
Mossad Chief Meir Dagan said Monday that Syria’s military has recently accelerated its acquisition of arms.
“The military alliance between Damascus and Teheran has accelerated the arms race in the region,” said Dagan at a meeting of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Dagan, however, stated that this does not indicate that Syria is likely to strike at Israel. (Amnon Meranda)
