Olmert: Implementing agreement with PA depends on it fighting terror

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Monday that as far as Israel was concerned, "the understandings between Hamas and Fatah (as reached in Yemen) are not the kind that requires any Israeli response."

Olmert, who spoke on the matter with US Vice President Richard Cheney prior to his departure for Turkey, added that Israeli will continue peace talks with the Palestinians, but implementing any agreement depends on the Palestinian Authority's ability to fight terror. (Roni Sofer)
