Saudi King's interfaith dialogues welcomed in Washington
Presidential Spokeswoman Dana Perino in Washington commented on Saudi King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud's gesture for interfaith dialogues saying, "When you have someone like the king of Saudi Arabia that is recommending such a dialogue, it can only give us hope that there would be further recognition of everyone's right to freedom of expression and religion."
Meretz-Yahad Chairman MK Yossi Beilin said a Saudi-backed dialogue between Muslims and Jews "could be a balancing factor" against extremists but cannot replace diplomacy. (AP)
