Rabbi Menachem Froman from the West Bank settlement of Tekoa attended the 32nd annual Land Day commemoration ceremony at the Arab-Israeli village of Arabeh on Sunday, this after Knesset Member Mohammad Barakeh (Hadash) asked that Jews also participate in the event.

"I came to identify with the demand for justice; justice leads to peace, and this will be good for both Jews and Arabs" the rabbi said. "Today they are marking Land Day – a day in which justice is sought, and if there is justice, there will be peace on earth.
"I come here with a message of peace," added the rabbi, who was greeted warmly by several Arab-Israeli leaders. "The trust between the Jewish and Arab sectors must be rebuilt.
Far-left activist Tali Fahima, who was imprisoned for aiding Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades gunmen, including the group's Jenin head Zakariya Zubeidi, also took part in the ceremony.
