Police say nearly 4,000 people are on the streets of Brussels and massing outside the headquarters of the European Union to protest against attacks on Christians in Iraq.
Prominent Christians have been slain in Iraq by Islamic extremists in the past few weeks. Tens of thousands of Iraqi Christians are believed to have fled the country since the 2003 US invasion. Organizers say Saturday's peaceful demonstration has drawn between 4,000 and 7,000 people from across Europe. Police are putting the figure at 3,750. (AP)
