Gaza: Electrical officials turn off power in Gaza City
Gaza electrical officials have turned off two of three turbines that power most of Gaza City, blaming Israel. The officials say Israel hasn't provided enough fuel to run the power plant. An Israeli army spokesman said Saturday that Israel delivered less fuel to Gaza than planned this week because Palestinian militants attacked the crossing they use to provide the power plant's diesel.
It was not immediately clear if the power station had actually run out of fuel or whether Gaza's Hamas rulers wanted to create an exaggerated impression of the crisis. (AP)
