Israel sends aid mission to China, Myanmar

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said Sunday that "Israel's willingness to help in every place where a disaster takes place is part of the State's humanitarian approach.'

 

Livni spoke during a ceremony held in honor of an Israeli mission sent to help victims of the cyclone in Myanmar and the earthquake in China. The aid stands at some NIS 1.5 million – most of it donated by Israel Corp. The plane carrying the mission was donated by El Al. (Roni Sofer)
