Hamas PM: Shalit’s matter is separate from truce
Hamas prime minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh said late Saturday that the release of IDF captive soldier Gilad Shalit is “a separate matter from the truce talks.”
Haniyeh added Shalit’s release depends on Israel’s agreement to release Palestinian prisoners: “If Israel is willing to advance the matter – no Palestinian will object to that.” (Reuters)
