Peace Now: Eli Yishai’s comments on Jerusalem embarrass Israel
Peace Now Secretary General Yariv Oppenheimer reacted to Shas Chairman Eli Yishai’s comments surrounding continued building in Jerusalem and his belief that there is no difference between Jerusalem and Washington.
According to Oppenheimer, “His comments are an embarrassment to the Israeli government. In contrast to Washington, 226,000 Arabs live in Jerusalem and are not Israeli citizens.” (Roni Sofer)
