Brazil: ‘Rabbi’ Elior Chen hires local attorneys to prevent extradition to Israel
“Rabbi” Elior Chen, suspected of heading a group of religious parents who tortured their children under his tutelage, who was recently arrested in Brazil, has announced his refusal to turn himself in to Israeli authorities.
Chen’s attorney, Ariel Atari, visited his client in Sao Paulo, announcing he has hired a team of local attorneys that will do their best to prevent Chen’s extradition to Israel. The three-year old toddler who underwent severe physical abuse under Chen’s supervision is still in vegetative state. (Efrat Weiss)
