Abbas' office: Peres denies having said Palestinian president 'irrelevant'
Sources in Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' office said Sunday that President Shimon Peres called his Palestinian colleague Sunday, and denied recent reports suggesting he said Abbas "lacked relevance" and that Israel had no chance of reaching an agreement with the Palestinians. (Ali Waked)
