Iranian FM arrives in Syria for talks with Assad
Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki is in Damascus for talks that will likely cover Tehran's disputed nuclear program. He said on arrival Thursday that he'll discuss the "latest Mideast developments" with Syrian President Bashar Assad.
The two are also expected to discuss a request by French president Nicolas Sarkozy that Assad help persuade Tehran to cooperate with the international community over its nuclear ambitions. (AP)
