Palestinians say leaders meeting next week

A Palestinian negotiator said Thursday that trilateral peace talks are set for Washington this month. The negotiator, Saeb Erekat, told AP that Israeli and Palestinian negotiators will meet there with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Erekat, who is in Washington, said chief Palestinian negotiator Ahmed Qureia and Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni would meet Rice on July 30. Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel said he did not know about plans for talks. (AP)
