Abbas denounces Hamas activities in Gaza Strip
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas denounced Hamas’ activities in the Gaza Strip last weekend, at the end of a meeting in Cairo with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, al-Jazeera reported Sunday.
The two leaders discussed the latest developments in the negotiations with Israel, the situation in the Gaza Strip and the dialogue initiative between the Palestinian factions. Last weekend, Hamas arrested 200 Fatah gunmen in the Gaza Strip as a result of explosions which killed six people on Friday. (Roee Nahmias)
