Dismissed Naalin commander appointed branch chief in Zeelim base
Lt. Col. Omri Burberg, who was dismissed as commander of Regiment 71 following the Naalin shooting incident, has been appointed head of the armor branch at the Zeelin base.
As part of Burberg's plea bargain, he was indictment on charges of conduct unbecoming following the incident, in which a bound Palestinian detainee was wounded. The Military Prosecution is expected to seek a probation-only sentence. (Hanan Greenberg)
