Iran picks June for presidential elections

Iranian state radio is reporting that authorities have chosen June 2009 for the next presidential election.

The director of elections in the interior ministry, Ali Asghar Sharifirad, says, "June 12, 2009 has been approved as the voting day for presidential elections." (AP)
