Hizbullah Chief Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah warnedMonday that if Israel "launches a war against Lebanon ,Syria ,Iran orGaza, it will have thousands of scores to settle", adding that such a conflict would have "unclear implications for the Zionists."
Nasrallah was interviewed by Iranian television in honor of the month of Ramadan.
"Israel willnot give up its dreams and will use aggression to make them come true," he said when asked about the Second Lebanon War .As for the prospect of another military confrontation in the area, Nasrallah replied: "As long as Israel continues its aggressive behavior and eyes our land there can be no peace or stability. We have all sorts of options."
The next war, he continued, would revolve around the developments in the international arena, "especially those pertaining to the Iranian nuclear program and the peace talks between Israel and Syria, the situation in Gaza Strip and in Palestine – even the war in Georgia may have regional effects," he said.
When asked about the recent prisoner exchange deal withIsrael and the long awaited release of Samir Kuntar ,Nasrallah said that "it is only natural that we trust Allah and believe he helps his warriors".
Nasrallah was also asked about the current political climate in Lebanon, to which re responded by blaming several political factions of being backed by the US. He expressed his hopes that whatever the US administration has planned for the Middle East in general and Lebanon in particular, will fail.
