Report: Syria sends delegates to N. Korea on pending arms deals

Syria dispatched a high-ranking delegation to North Korea, in order to ensure the arms deals signed between the two countries take place as scheduled, the London-based Arabic-language newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat reported Monday.

Syrian sources denied the report, which suggested the visit was prompted by the failing health of North Korean President Kim Jong-il. (Roee Nahmias)
